I'm combining my academic knowledge from projects like a cancer-detection CNN trained on 220k+ images with my full stack skills of mobile apps built end to end and making real projects like this retrieval-augmented assistant deployed and answering real questions. Research gives me the rigor; interacting with real people builds the ideas; shipping keeps it honest.

I've long loved various forms of AI from strict set-based search and comparative Vector Symbolic Architectures to chaotic simulation approaches. What takes AI from an interest to a passion for me though, regardless of approach, is its potential as a tool and technology for science and production.
